Every Wednesday 12-1pm starting 2/18 - every Friday 6:15-7:15p starting in March. Jivamukti is a unique practice fusing together the fundamental elements of Ashtanga yoga (conscious breath, drishti, self-awareness) with Vinyasa Flow (each posture seamlessly flowing to the next via thoughtful sequencing) along with uplifting music, reference to spiritual texts, and meditation. Established in the 1980s by artists in New York, a Jivamukti practice is rigorous and challenging, but equally creative, expansive, and fun.

Rooted in the foundation of ashtanga - breath, bandhas, drishti (gazing point) - this class explores the first series of ashtanga yoga with posture variations and additions. Vigorous.

Great for anyone new to yoga or to ashtanga. Learn about breath, bandhas, drishti, sequencing, and what Krishnamacharya calls "correct practice".

Great for anyone new to yoga. Emphasizes postural alignment and coordination of breath and movement, bringing the mind fully present to the body and to sensations through classical hatha yoga asanas.

Yin Yoga $20 per classFrom $14 per visit with 10 Class Card passA credit card is required to enroll but isn't charged until the time of service.

Yin Yoga is slow-paced, quiet and reflective. It is considered gentle in nature though sometimes intense. Its main function is to moderately stress and stretch the connective tissues, more specifically, the ligaments and fascia. Ligamentous tissues connect bone to bone, while certain fascial tissues protect and bind the joints. Yin yoga focuses primarily on the spine, hips and thighs (think: belly button to knees). The effort is in relaxing the muscles as much as possible while being in a pose for several minutes. When light stress is applied to the joints, ligaments and fascia, it is believed that these tissues become stronger and more elastic over time.
